Please read the following notes
and instructions carefully. Once done, press the "next button" to enter the registration
wizard. It is also advised that you read our Pre-Sales
FAQ.
Buying Instructions:
- Purchasing with Credit Card (Recommended): Please
select the "credit-card" option while signing up if
you wish to purchase with Master Card, VISA, American Express or Discover. This
gateway is not automated and activation may take up to 6 hours. We
do a thorough post-activation review of all customers and their credit card numbers.
Fraudulent orders will be traced down by our anti-fraud department and appropriate
measures will be taken.
- Purchasing with PayPal: Please
select the "Paypal" option if you wish to pay through
your PayPal account when signing up. This gateway is not automated and activation
may take up to 6 hours. Also subsequently, you will be required to pay manually
according to your chosen billing cycle.
- Purchasing with Check or Money
Order: For our customer's convenience, we do accept payments by Check or
Money Order (Click
Here to View our Money Order guidelines). For such sign-ups, select "Check" as
your payment option and send an email to our Billing Department (billing@megahosters.com)
with your user name and what payment method and the amount you sent. We will
email you with instructions on how to proceed with payment. Account will be activated
only after receipt of your payment.
Other Notes:
- VERY IMPORTANT - Your Email Address:
While registering you *MUST* ensure that the email address you enter will not
be hosted with us. Doing so will make it impossible for us to communicate with
you in the event of downtime (very rare). Additionally after registration you
will receive a confirmation email from us. If you never receive such an email,
write to sales@megahosters.com immediately
with the username you registered with.
- Domain Name: If you
don't own a domain name, it is recommended that you create a third level domain
(eg: mywebsite.megahosters.com) for yourself during the signup process. You can
add a real domain to your Control Panel at a later time. When adding a domain
during the registration process select the "Transfer Domain" option.
The domain is not actually transferred to us. Only local DNS records are created
for it. To actually transfer it to us, you must change your domain's name server
records to point to NS1.MEGAHOSTERS.COM and NS2.MEGAHOSTERS.COM. To actually
register or transfer a domain, you can visit http://www.megahosters.com/domains
- User Names & Passwords: We highly recommend that when
you are asked to create a username and password during the signup process that
you enter a complex username and password. This will make your account just that
much more secure. Our system will not accept passwords like "password" or "123456".
Please think of something unique that only you will know. If someone gets in
to your control panel they could destroy your website, by making a complex password
on your account you can avoid this. Example password "forkspoon9324".
- Contact Information: We require that the contact information you enter while
signing up is accurate.
